For anyone preferring to do their research online, the Public Library
subscribes to several genealogy databases that can be accessed using
your library card.
Genealogical database that compiles information from thousands of sources
including census documents, historical maps, draft registration cards and many
civil war era documents. Instructions: Click on the database above. This
database can only be accessed at the library.
This genealogy database allows users to search U.S. Census records from
1790-1930, gives access to information on people and places from 20,000 family
and local history books, PERSI articles, Revolutionary War pension and bounty
land records, and Freedman's Bank records. Instructions: Click on the database
above. Follow instructions to perform your search.
This database is the New England Historic Genealogical Society web site. It is helpful for researching early family histories that may have started on the east coast of America
